I’m kind of in love with my middle name. A few other things I’m in love with: the color pink, chocolate, plush blankets, and laughing…a lot.
I’m a podcast listener, book reader, fair-weather 5K runner, and lover of Jesus. The best compliment I’ve ever received is being called a Human Ray of Sunshine. I spend most my days trying to convince people that Slytherin is the strongest Hogwarts house and that iced mocha is my blood type.
My favorite people are my family and my boyfriend Derek, who has baby blue eyes that will stop you in your tracks. Luckily, he doesn’t mind that I stare at him <3
I firmly believe that time and Taylor Swift can heal all wounds, the importance of chips and queso cannot be understated, and you can learn something new every day.
Welcome to my blog, and my life.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_separator color=”custom” accent_color=”#cecece”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”4290″ img_size=”369×277″ alignment=”center” image_hovers=”false”][vc_column_text]Hi there! A friend of mine recently put a blog post up about “Favorite Things February,” where she’ll be posting her favorite products every Monday of February. Check her blog out HERE. I absolutely loved the idea, and as my mentor said, “The best ideas are borrowed,” so I decided to try my spin on it. I…

Song of the Week, I’ve decided, is a wonderful idea for the footer of this webpage, but is NOT the best idea for my weekly posts. I could write about songs for weeks, but the problem came this week, when I became completely addicted with more than one song off of the Wembley Edition of…

A little bit of a throwback for this week’s SOTW. The original version of this song was recorded by Tracy Chapman in 1988. Check it out HERE. Little bit of background – I discovered Boyce Avenue one day studying for a final in college listening to Pandora. I soon discovered that almost everything they do is…

This past weekend, I traveled to Memphis, Tennessee for work. The radio station I work for raises money for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and every January, hundreds of radio station employees travel TO the hospital to see the work we do. We travel by plane, and though I have traveled on airplanes multiple times, I’m…

I should probably start out by saying that Luke Bryan is on the top of my list. Yes, I listen to other genres, and yes I enjoy all sorts of artists, but honestly…if I had to pick one, JUST ONE, to listen to the rest of my life…it’d probably be Luke Bryan. He’s also…

I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with New Year’s Resolutions. On the love side, it’s a wonderful idea to think of ways to better yourself. Yet on the hate side, I think that New Year’s Resolutions put too much pressure on ourselves to prove a point versus actually improving our lives. That said, I think…

I can safely tell you that I have been looking forward to this post for longer than I’ve even had a blog. People, I LOVE FOOD. It’s why I’m not exactly why I would call skinny, why I like going out to eat, why I’m poor (because of said going out to eat), why I…

“When you make plans, God laughs.” I truly have come to believe this saying is true, especially the older I get. When you’re little, you think being in high school will easy and perfect. Then you fast forward to the incredibly awkward four years that IS high school, and you think college is easy. Repeat…

The inaugural “Song of the Week,” (well, the inaugural SOTW post that is), is a new country single by Brett Eldredge. Working at a country music radio station, I’d like to think I have some wise words to say about the lyrics, melody, general musical overtones & undertones all in regards to what makes me…

Christmas is my favorite holiday. Actually, it’s my favorite day of the year if I’m being honest. The magic, the decorations, the lights, the FOOD!!! But my favorite part about Christmas is spending it with family. This year, we had celebrations for four days straight, because that’s how we do holidays. This year was especially exciting for…
